    US Airways Flight 1549

Earlier today US Airways flight 1549 took off and headed for Charlotte, N.C. Shortly after takeoff the airliner encountered a flock of birds that decommissioned both jet engines. Reports claimed that this was an extremely rare event and thanks to the highly trained pilot, Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger, the plane was put down into the Hudson river with out a single casualty. In my opinion this is nothing short of a miracle. A plane crash landing without a single casualty? UNHEARD OF!!! A few cases of Hypothermia and minor injuries were all the harm encountered. Here's a few images i pulled off of Yahoo News, they're from various photo soucrces such as Associated Press and Reuters.
